Privacy Policy

Effective: October 26, 2026. Last updated: October 26, 2026.

This page explains, in plain English, what information MNT My Neighborhood Tech LLC (“My Neighborhood Tech,” “MNT,” “we”) collects through mntmyneighborhoodtech.com (the “Site”) and when you subscribe to our apps, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It also covers the points California’s Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) asks a privacy policy to cover. If anything here is unclear, email us at Service@mntmyneighborhoodtech.com.

The short version

  • We collect what you choose to send us (like a service request) plus basic visit data.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for ads.
  • PayPal handles all subscription payments. We never see or store your card number.
  • If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control, we don’t load Google Analytics.
  • Want to see, fix, or delete what we have? Email Service@mntmyneighborhoodtech.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Service requests and contact forms: name, email, phone number, city or address, device and problem details, and anything else you type in the message.
  • MNT Safety Check “Email me my results”: name, email, check type (home or small office), and the items you marked “No” or “Not sure.” Nothing is sent unless you press the button.
  • Reviews you choose to submit, and any email, call, or text you send us.
  • App subscriptions (through PayPal): when you subscribe to Home Tech Helper Premium or IT Toolkit Pro, PayPal tells us your name, email address, subscription ID, the plan, and whether payments went through. We use this to turn on your subscription and to help you if something goes wrong.

A copy of form submissions is stored on our web host’s server so a message can’t get lost.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: like nearly every website, our web host records standard request data (IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time, and the page you came from) for security and troubleshooting.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): unless you have opted out (see section 5), we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from (city or region), device and browser type, and how people move through the Site. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies (for example _ga and _ga_<ID>, which can last up to 2 years) and similar technologies. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We turned off Google Signals and ad-personalization features, and ad storage is turned off by default.
  • Fonts: our fonts are stored on our own web host. Loading them does not contact Google or any other outside service.

Our apps

The MNT Home Tech Helper and MNT IT Toolkit apps open on their own web addresses and each has its own privacy policy that explains what the app keeps on your device: Home Tech Helper privacy policy and IT Toolkit privacy policy.

2. How we use information

To answer your requests, schedule and do service work, send estimates and invoices, follow up on your service, run your app subscription, improve the Site, and keep the Site secure. We do not run a mailing list. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

3. Who we share information with

We share information only with these kinds of companies, and only so they can do their job for us or for you:

  • Payment processor (PayPal): PayPal processes all subscription payments under its own privacy statement. You type your card or bank details into PayPal, not into our Site, so MNT never sees or stores your card number.
  • Website and app hosting: the companies that host the Site and our apps store the pages, server logs, and form copies.
  • Analytics (Google): Google Analytics, as described above. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Email and phone providers: the services that carry our email, calls, and texts with you.
  • When the law requires it: we may share information if required by law, such as a court order.

The book links on our Books page go to Amazon. They are plain links, not affiliate links, so we don’t earn a commission and Amazon doesn’t tell us who clicked. When you leave our Site for Amazon, PayPal, or an app, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

4. Do other companies track you on our Site?

The only outside company that can collect information about your visits to our Site over time is Google, through Google Analytics. Google may also be able to connect that with your visits to other websites that use Google services. You can stop this on our Site as described in sections 5 and 6. We do not use advertising pixels, retargeting, or social media tracking.

5. Your choices

  • Turn off analytics on this Site: (saved in your browser; clearing site data resets it).
  • Turn off Google Analytics on all websites: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site still works without them.
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we don’t load Google Analytics.

6. How to review or change your information

You can ask to see the personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email Service@mntmyneighborhoodtech.com and tell us what you’d like. We may need to keep some records, such as invoices, for tax or legal reasons, and we’ll tell you if that applies. To change your PayPal details, sign in to your PayPal account.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. When your browser sends a DNT signal, we do not load Google Analytics on the Site. We treat Global Privacy Control the same way. Our web host’s standard server logs are still recorded for security.

8. Children

Our Site, apps, and services are made for adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

9. California residents

We do not sell or share personal information, and we will honor reasonable requests to see or delete your information (see section 6). Under California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code §1798.83), you may ask whether we gave personal information to other companies for their own direct marketing. We do not.

10. Security and how long we keep information

We take reasonable steps to protect information, such as HTTPS and limiting who can access it. No website or app can be made perfectly secure. We keep service and subscription records as long as we need them to serve you and to meet tax and legal record-keeping rules. Analytics data is kept for 2 months, the shortest setting Google Analytics offers.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Effective” date at the top. If we make a big change, such as starting to share information in a new way, we will also put a notice on our home page, and we will email current app subscribers about it.
