Common questions
Answers before you request service.
Straightforward information about how My Neighborhood Tech works.
How much does it cost?
Labor is $75 per hour with a one-hour minimum. Parts, licenses, or third-party costs (if any) are confirmed separately before they are incurred.
Is there a service call fee or travel charge?
Within the normal service area (Santa Maria to Paso Robles), travel is generally included in the hourly rate. Unusual distances or special circumstances are discussed up front.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Use the request form or email. Brandon will reply to confirm availability, scope, and the appointment. Nothing is booked until he confirms with you.
Can you help with both home and small-business issues?
Yes. Support covers personal computers, home networks, printers, smart devices, Windows systems, servers, basic cloud questions, and security guidance for homes and small businesses.
Do you sell equipment or software?
The focus is on diagnosis, repair, setup, and practical guidance. If hardware or software is needed, options can be discussed and any purchases are confirmed with you first.
What if the problem is more complex than expected?
Brandon will explain what he finds and discuss options before continuing with additional work. You stay in control of the scope and cost.
Is remote support available?
Some issues can be handled or started remotely when appropriate. On-site visits are used when hands-on work is needed. Availability is confirmed case by case.
